About the author

My name is Gaël M. L’Hermine, and I’m an avid Colombian politics aficionado. I spent eight months in Colombia several years ago and became fond of the country and deeply fascinated by its history and politics. I hold a Masters’ degree in political science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and wrote my Masters’ research paper on the Colombian parapolítica scandal in Magdalena and Urabá. I currently live and work in Ottawa, Canada.
